High School Rodeo Event To Be Held This Weekend

The Moapa Valley High School Rodeo Club will be hosting its annual rodeo on November 19-21 at the Clark County Fairgrounds arena.

On Friday will be the cutting event at 1:00 pm in the upper arena. Then on Saturday the rodeo will start at 9:00 am. Rodeo competition will continue into Sunday when things will get started at 8 am.

There will be approximately 140 contestants from all over the state of Nevada competing in Logandale that weekend.

Local contestant Rilee Christensen (high school) will be competing in the Girls Cutting, Barrels, Poles, Goat Tying, Team Roping, and Breakaway Roping.

Another local athlete, Corbin Farley (high school) will compete in the Saddle Bronc Riding.
Logandale youth Carter Wagasky (high school) will compete in the bull riding event.
Lastly, Alexis Zinovich (jr high) will compete in the barrels, poles, and goat tying.

The rodeo club will continue to sell their “We Stand” stickers for $5 apiece.

On Saturday and Sunday the food truck “Kuppa Joe” will be on site serving up their amazing coffee and treats. Also Tio Chuy’s, aka Alex’s taco truck, will have their famous street tacos and more.

The public is welcome and encouraged to come out and support these great athletes.
