Mesquite Police Arrest Two Burglary Suspects

On Thursday July 1, at approximately 5:45 a.m., Mesquite officers and detectives responded to Adonai Landscaping on W Pioneer Blvd for a report of a burglary from multiple work trailers. It was reported that approximately $6,000 worth of equipment was stolen.

Using video surveillance and working together with responding patrol officers, Mesquite detectives were able to identify the two suspects. After an exhaustive search and diligently following up on numerous leads, they located the suspects and their vehicle in an apartment complex. Detectives secured a search warrant for the apartment and vehicle, and the suspects were later arrested.

Detectives recovered most of the property stolen from Adonai Landscaping. They also recovered several personal items, debit cards, and identification documents stolen in burglaries recently committed in Logandale and surrounding communities.

Joshua Delafrance, 26, of Logandale, NV was arrested and charged with felony burglary, felony grand larceny, felony possession of stolen property, three counts of felony possession of personal identifying information of another, and three misdemeanor counts of possession of stolen property.

Breanna St. John, 25, of Logandale, NV was arrested and charged with felony burglary, felony grand larceny, felony possession of stolen property, three counts of felony possession of personal identifying information of another, and three misdemeanor counts of possession of stolen property, felony possession of methamphetamine, and felony possession of schedule III controlled substance.

Due to the felony charges, both suspects were transported and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas Nevada.

Chief MaQuade Chesley stated “video surveillance was a great tool in the identification of these suspects. However, it was the tenacity and skill of the officers and detectives that led to the resolution of this burglary and several others throughout nearby communities.” He concluded “I never cease to be impressed with the hard work the men and women of the Mesquite Police Department put in every day to keep this city safe from those who seek to prey on others.”
